WHAT DOES DUBLIN HAVE TO OFFER?

Your Gay Dublin Guide

At GayToDo we provide details on all the gay Dublin events that are happening across the city, as well as the groups who are running them. Our site is updated daily and provides a centralised location for those looking beyond gay dating, Dublin is a bustling European capital after all and has so much more to offer. GayToDo is the home for LGBT Dublin sports and social events so if you’re looking for something exciting and different to get involved in, then here is where you’ll find it.

LGBT Dublin has much more to offer than clubs and gay bars. Dublin is one of the most cultural and also community driven cities in Europe, which is what makes the gay Dublin social scene so exciting. The city boasts a vibrant LGBT community and a wide variety of active sports and social clubs. For people searching for events with a focus that’s lesbian or gay, Dublin neighbourhood groups are based all over the city with a huge range of events for every taste.

LGBT Dublin Groups

We include all the up and coming LGBT Dublin events from:

The Emerald Warriors: A gay Dublin men’s rugby club that trains twice a week and plays competitively in both the Leinster Metro League, as well as internationally at the biennial Union Cup in Europe and the Bingham Cup, described as the “Gay World Cup”. It is not just for gay Dublin men and is open to anyone who wants to play rugby.

The Phoenix Tigers: A lesbian Dublin soccer club that was set up in 2004 as a way to get together, socialise and keep fit. The team trains all year round, plays indoor football weekly and also hosts an annual 5-a-side tournament on Easter Saturday.

Acting Out: An acting group for LGBT Dublin men and women that meets weekly to rehearse for planned upcoming shows. The group have won several awards and offer a wonderful outlet for any LGBT Dublin people with a passion for performance.

Changing Attitude Ireland: A group of lay and ordained Christians working towards equality within their churches and the blessing of LGBT relationships using an authorised liturgy. It organises meetings for lesbian and gay Dublin people interested in their vision and goals.

The social club organizes meals at some of Dublin’s nicest restaurants with the bill aiming to be kept to between €25 and €60. Dublin International Gay Social Group: A great way to make friends if you are new to Dublin or have been around for a while (or forever). It steers clear of the gay dating Dublin scene and creates a non-pressurised environment for anyone who just wants to meet up and take part in their favourite hobbies and activities with other LGBT Dublin people.

Dublin Gay Geeks who Game: A newly established gaming club that is going from strength to strength. For those who prefer a gay gaming day to a gay gym, Dublin now has a hugely popular society for LGBT Dublin people who want to meet up and play their favourite fantasy or board games.

Gay Social Tennis:  The Out2Tennis club is a lesbian and gay Dublin sports group that arranges tennis meetups every fortnight for players of all levels to come together, have fun and play against players of their level. Dublin and neighbouring Wicklow offer some excellent hiking routes for both experienced hill walkers and those new to the activity. The group has been running for nearly 30 years and provides an excellent opportunity for socialising outside the gay dating Dublin scene.

The filmqlub is a voluntary group for film lovers from the LGBT Dublin community to get together and enjoy their love of the silver screen together. There are annual and once-off membership fees to pay for venue, equipment and film licensing fees but they still come in at cheaper than a regular trip to the cinema.
