Event: Santa Cycle 2017
Date: December 3, 2017 @ 4:00 pm
This is a really cool cycle in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin. From the title you can probably guess the cycle involves dressing up in Santa suit, decorating your bike and/or yourself in Christmas lights and cycling around Dublin city center. The route is approximately 16km starting from the Papal Cross in the Phoenix park to O’Connell bridge, passing Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and finishing up in Clondalkin. We can pick a place to meet (and decorate our bikes) closer to the time depending on what side of the park people are travelling from. Its probably not advisable to meet at the papal cross as there were 500 people there last year and it’ll be pretty hard to stand out from the crowd on a bike!
Registration costs €30 and includes a Santa suit and a set of Christmas lights. Funds raised from the cycle will help fund orthopaedic and spinal surgery for children in time-critical need and with conditions including scoliosis, limb deformities, Developmental Dislocation of the Hip (DDH) as well as an array of other conditions.
